What's your favorite missions verse? A lot of Christians would pick Matthew 28:19-20a where Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you".
A favorite of mine is from 1 Samuel 30:24b where David said, "For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall be his share be who stays by the baggage; they shall share alike."
What does that have to do with missions? Simply this: not everyone can physically go. But everyone can go in prayer. Some can go by giving. We can all go as part of the body of Christ who sends. And as the share of the one who goes, so shall the share be for the one who prays and who gives and who sends.
After all, as Paul wrote, "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”
